Short answer? Anywhere you can!
Anyone who has thought about practicing yoga outside, may have a rosy view of communing with nature as you breathe in the vitality of fresh air, and listen to the invigorating sounds of nature surrounding you. Anyone who has actually practiced yoga outside may remember it differently! Balancing poses are difficult if you are not on flat and level ground, the weather is not always ideal, (whether its too hot, too cold, or raining!) or any number of other distractions and difficulties.

1. A Covered Patio: This is an ideal spot because you will have a flat, even spot to stand, shelter from any inclement weather, and a roof also will help with the challenge of balancing while you gaze upward.

2. A beach: Yes, Beaches are ideal! Low tide is best as you will find the sand hard packed enough to practice a flowing sun salutation, but still soft enough to instill confidence to play with advanced asana. Falling out of challenging arm balances on concrete is scary - falling out of those same arm balances on soft sand is fun! Bonus, your post-asana meditation is dreamy with the sound of waves on the beach.

3. The Pool: Use the water to help support your body. Its also a fun place to practice handstands with support and low-consequences for falls.
